HYBRID SYSTEMS FOR OPTICS AND ELECTRONICS

Hybrid inorganic/organic systems structured on atomic, molecular and mesoscopic length scales offer completely new possibilities for the implementation of optical and electronic properties and functions approaching fundamental limits. Based on physico-chemical concepts and inspired by the extraordinary efficient way functions are implemented in natural systems, the structure-property relationships of these novel hybrid materials will be investigated and explored for their application potential.

FAIRmat

FAIRmat represents the diverse research field of the Condensed Matter Section (SKM) of the German Physical Society (DPG) as well as the chemical physics of solids. The project receives funding to build an infrastructure that will make materials science data FAIR: findable, accessible, interoperable, and re-purposable. This will enable researchers in Germany and beyond to store, share, find, and analyze data over the long term.

Joint Laboratory for Structural Research - JLSR

The Joint Laboratory for Structural Research (JLSR) provides and develops infrastructure for structural research on organic, inorganic and corresponding hybrid materials and systems. It focuses on microscopy, scattering and lithography using electrons, X-rays and scanning probes. The JLSR is a facility at IRIS Adlershof, in which Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin cooperates with Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie and Technische Universität Berlin.

HUMBOLDT ACCESS - Open Laboratory for Advanced Materials

HUMBOLDT ACCESS is a new concept for the promotion of the collaboration between IRIS Adlershof and pertinent scientific and industrial partners. Innovative high-tech enterprises and research institutes are invited to collaborate within HUMBOLDT ACCESS by sending their own personnel. HUMBOLDT ACCESS aims at the development and the implementation of tailored concepts for organic and molecular electronics.
